Wachella Falls

2 miles
200 feet elevation gain

Wachella Falls might be the best bang for the buck hike in the entire gorge. It's stupid easy, and it has a great payoff.

The trailhead is really small, which is a bummer and means you need to get there early or be forced to park up the road. The first 1/4 mile of the trail is literally flat gravel. It's only a mile to the falls. Right after the gravel ends you walk past a tiny falls next to the trail. 3/4th of the way there there is a junction for the lolipop loop. Go right down the hill and into the canyon to see the landslide area, then boom, waterfalls. Return and you are done.

The waterfall and canyon area make this hike worth it tenfold. It's a really cool place, even on a less than spectacular day. Anyone can pretty much do this hike. I even recommended this hike to a friend for his proposal spot, and he got engaged here. It a sweet place.

It also happens to be the hike that started my girlfriend's stupid vine joke "DAVE LIKES CAVES"
